Answers Before You Ask
This translation FAQ covers the questions we hear most often—what we translate, how we handle quality, what projects cost, and how your files are protected. If your question isn’t here, contact us and we’ll answer it directly.
What services does Locstars offer?
Legal, medical, technical, financial and marketing translation, official document translation, and full localization for websites, software, games and e-learning. Every project is handled by native translators who specialize in the field in question, with a glossary and a translation memory kept for your account.
Which languages do you support?
We translate to and from Arabic paired with English, Chinese, French, Spanish, German, Hindi, Turkish, Russian, Japanese, and Korean.
Can you handle different Arabic dialects?
Yes. We work in Modern Standard Arabic as well as regional dialects across the Gulf and North Africa. Tell us your target market and we’ll match the translator—and the dialect—to your audience.
What do I receive when you translate a document for an institution?
A complete translation of every element of the source, laid out to mirror the original, by a translator who specializes in your subject. Whether it is accepted is decided by the institution receiving it, not by us — name the institution and we will confirm beforehand what we will deliver.
Which industries do you specialize in?
Our translators cover technology, gaming, legal, patents, healthcare, finance, marketing, e-learning, energy, e-commerce, travel, and government, among others. Each project is assigned to a translator with experience in that subject area.
How do you assure quality?
Every project is translated by a specialist in its subject. Revision by a second independent translator and proofreading can be added as separate steps. Your terminology is fixed in a glossary so it stays consistent across projects.
How do you ensure translation quality?
Through our TEP process: your text is translated by a subject specialist, and revision and proofreading are separate steps you can add to the quote, each carried out by a translator who did not translate it. Add those passes and no single person is the only check on your text, so errors are caught internally rather than by your readers.
Who will actually translate my content?
A professional translator who is a native speaker of the target language and experienced in your industry. Legal documents go to legal translators, game scripts to gaming specialists, and so on.
What if I need revisions after delivery?
Send us your feedback and we’ll revise the work within the agreed scope. Getting the final text right is part of the job, not an extra.
How is pricing determined?
Price depends on word count, subject matter, language pair, and how quickly you need the work. We confirm the full cost up front, and the figure we quote is the figure you pay.
Is the quote really free?
Yes—completely free and with no obligation to proceed. You send your files and requirements, we send back scope, timeline, and price, and the decision is entirely yours.
How fast can you deliver?
Turnaround depends on length, complexity, and language pair, so we confirm a delivery date with every quote, before any work starts.
Can you handle large or ongoing projects?
Yes. We support multi-file projects, phased deliveries, and long-term content pipelines, keeping terminology and style consistent across every batch through the same specialist team.
Are my documents kept confidential?
Yes. Strict confidentiality applies to every project, whether it’s a public marketing page or a sensitive contract, and it continues after delivery.
How are my files handled and stored?
Your files are processed securely and accessed only by the translators assigned to your project. They are never shared or reused outside your project.
How do I get started?
Send your files and requirements through our quote form. You’ll receive a clear scope, timeline, and price—typically within one business day—and work begins only after you approve.
